We are pleased to announce that we are now working with and recommending Vetsure Pet Insurance. We are, however, unable to provide information about other companies or their products.

We are able to offer you general guidance and tips on the concept and would certainly recommend exploring pet insurance.  Insurance policies are available to help you with unexpected costs as a result of your pet’s illness or injury - most do not cover routine pet care such as vaccinations (although Vetsure’s unique Cover and Care product does include a range of discounts towards preventative health costs).   When taking on the responsibility of a pet, you should be confident that you are in a position to cover all associated costs.

Insurance policies vary greatly in what they cover and there is a huge range to choose from.  We recommend you always read all the associated terms and conditions - including any excesses and co-payments (amounts you will have to pay towards a claim) - before you purchase.

Our Terms and Conditions at Wendover Heights Veterinary Centre specify that the cost of treatment is paid to us by our client at the time and then the relevant amount is then claimed back from the insurance company by the client. (In exceptional circumstances either the attending vet or our Accounts Department may authorise the insurance company to pay us direct.  This must, however, be arranged and agreed in advance.)

For Vetsure policyholders only, claims can be paid direct to the practice.

There is an administration charge for each claim form completed on your behalf by the practice. This charge does not however apply for Vetsure policies.
