Wendover Heights Veterinary Centre is an RCVS Accredited Farm Animal Practice and provides veterinary care to the local farming community.

 

Bluetongue disease

Bluetongue is a notifiable, non contagious, insect-borne viral disease that affects ruminants.  It mainly affects sheep and, less frequently, cattle but can also potentially infect goats, alpacas, llamas and farmed deer.  A vaccine is now available and further details are available from the practice.
