If your horse is sick or injured and you would like to make a claim on your insurance policy, may we please draw your attention to the following points.

It is practice policy that all invoices are settled by our client upon receipt. Clients making insurance claims should continue to settle their invoices, including the excess payment on receipt and claim back the monies directly from their insurance company. Completed claim forms should be handed to your vet or posted to the practice for the attention of Rachel Jones, Equine Coordinator, or your vet as soon as possible.

We will complete the veterinary section of the form and forward this on to your insurance company along with receipts relating to the claim. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the insurance company receives all further invoices relating to the claim. Some insurance companies require continuation claim forms for each new invoice submitted.

Only in exceptional circumstances and with the express agreement of the accounts department may a client ask their insurance company to pay Wendover Heights Veterinary Centre direct. In this case we strongly advise that you keep in regular contact with your insurance company to check the progress of your claim. As we are a ‘third party’ and owing to client confidentiality, insurance companies are only able to share very limited information with us.

An administration fee of £5.00 will be charged for each claim form completed.

If you have any questions relating to these points, please do not hesitate to contact us.
