




Ben Wakeling BVMS Bsc MRCVS graduated from Glasgow University in 1996. Ben is involved in both the small and large animal sides of the practice and spent time as a small animal intern at North Downs Referrals and at the Village Animal Hospital before joining us.
Emily Goodacre MA VetMB CertVDI MRCVS graduated from Cambridge in 2002 and joined
the practice shortly after. She has a particular interest in feline medicine and
has also studied for further qualifications in diagnostic imaging(x-

Joanna O’Gorman BVetMed MRCVS comes from a strong veterinary background, there being 5 vets in her family (her sister Vicky also works with us as a large animal vet). Jo qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2001 and joined the practice in 2002.
Lisa Angus BVSc GPCert(SAM) MRCVS graduated from Bristol University in 2004 and joined WHVC in November 2007 following time spent at a small animal practice in Kent. She has an interest in small animal medicine and has achieved her General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine but also enjoys the variety that general practice offers.
Michelle Knott BVetMed MRCVS joined Wendover Heights in 1999 having graduated from London University in 1995. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery, in particular, cardiology, opthamology and ultrasonography.
Mike Hewitt MA VetMB CertVR MRCVS (Director) graduated from Cambridge in 1988 and joined the practice in 1989 when WHVC was located at their terrace town house premises in Wendover as Parker, Godsal and Partners. He takes great pleasure in the diversity of mixed practice and is passionate about the ethical provision of veterinary care and working alongside clients to improve patient care. Special interests include radiography, orthopaedics and the occasional alpaca! However, despite the trend to specialise in ever narrower areas, he still enjoys tackling the wide variety of challenges across the many veterinary disciplines, believing that there are great benefits from the wider perspective and experience.

Stephanie Vere Hodge BVetMed GPCert(SAS) MRCVS graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2002 and spent her first 2 years in rural mixed practice. This was followed by 18 months in emergency and critical care work before heading out to Australia where she combined locum work with travelling. She has a particular interest in small animal surgery and has achieved her General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.


Steve Smith BVetMed CertZooMed DipECZM(Avian) MRCVS joined the practice in May 2008. He graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2002 and spent two years working in small animal practice. In 2004 he started a four year residency in avian and exotic pet medicine at the University of Bristol and Great Western Exotics in Swindon. In 2006 he gained the RCVS Certificate in Zoological Medicine and has also qualified as a European Veterinary Specialist in Avian Medicine. He regularly cares for dogs and cats but is also keen to see other pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, other small mammals, parrots, birds of prey, small birds, lizards, tortoises, snakes and other exotic animals.
Wendy Lintern BVetMed MRCVS qualified from London University in 2004 and joined the practice soon after. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Kezia Eves DVM MRCVS graduated from St George’s University, Grenada. She completed her final clinical year at Liverpool University and carried out much of her extra required study here at Wendover Heights before joining us in October 2008 as a small animal vet.
