Julie joined the practice in 1995 following a career in the medical world as a nurse and a Clinical Scientist in the NHS. She quickly developed a passion for veterinary work and in particular practice management, becoming the first overall Practice Manager of Wendover Heights in 2009.
In 2010 Julie was awarded the Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management and became one of only 65 holders of the qualification. She is a Council Member and Regional Organiser for the Veterinary Practice Management Association.
Animals have always been Julie’s major interest in life, with giant breed dogs a big favourite. She currently has Mabel, the latest in a long line of Bullmastiffs and Morris a Bullmastiff x English Mastiff – plus Basil the cat to keep them in order!
Clare has worked at Wendover Heights since 2006 after many years as a proof-reader and publications co-ordinator for a large company. Interests include gardening and looking after a selection of characterful pets; 2 dogs (Max and Basil) and 3 cats (Chelsea, Buddy & Kitkat).
Sue worked as a qualified radiographer in radiotherapy for ten years in the NHS, then moved to Wendover. As she had children at school, it was too far to travel to work in radiotherapy so she took a computer and book-keeping course and then joined Wendover Heights.
Tracey has worked at Wendover Heights since 2003, after previously working for many years looking after horses and at a Small Animal Veterinary Practice in Kent. Tracey spends her free time with her family and her gorgeous Fell Pony (Sini) and her rescue dog (Patch).
Michelle has worked at Wendover Heights since 2007, after previously working as a nanny for about 10 years and as a Veterinary Nurse at Wendover Heights before then. She has a particular interest in horses and owns 7 rescue chickens.
Having worked at Wendover Heights for 35 years, Sally is more than familiar with the day to day running of our practice!.
Mel has worked at Wendover Heights for 10 years on reception. She has a gorgeous labrador called Buzz, a 3 legged rescue cat called Maggot and 2 tortoises, Shelby and Dorris.
Lorraine has worked at Wendover Heights since 2006 and is found going between our main office at Halton and the Hydrotherapy Unit. She has a Jack Russell cross Poodle, which in her spare time can be found at dog agility – for which she competes on a regular basis.
Sonya left her job as a zoo keeper in 2003 and came to Wendover Heights to train as a Veterinary Nurse. She left for a few years to work with exotics and has now returned as a Clinical Administrator, although she does still help out with some nursing as required. Sonya has a Border Collie, 2 Snakes, 2 pet Ducks and enjoys music, gardening and motorcycling.
Receptionist / Accounts / Tech Support
Nicky has worked at Wendover Heights since December 2009. She has a wide variety of interests ranging from animal care, computers, singing and spending time with her partner. Nicky also has a lovely black labrador called Jake and a tortie & white rescue 3 legged cat called Bella.
Mo has worked at Wendover Heights since 2005 and continues to enjoy what she does. Her interests include her horses, dogs, chickens, gardening, wild birds and ‘all things country’.
