Dani Powell BSc & NLSSM Level 5 Canine rehabilitation therapist / Canine massage practitioner

After completing a bachelor of science degree in equine sports science in 2010 at Hartpury College, I pursued a career in equine and human sports injuries, and began a career focusing on sporting  injuries in athletes at a clinic called The Medical, in Bristol. After working a season with the Gloucester rugby team, a move back to Buckinghamshire allowed me to further my interest in injuries, and attended the University of Westminster to complete a diploma in soft tissue injuries. After working in clinic for 5 years I decided to pursue a career in small animals, where I joined Wendover Heights in 2015. Since then, I have become a fully qualified canine massage therapist and am currently studying to become an Animal physiotherapist studying with The College of Animal Physiotherapy.

I have been part of the WHVC team for 7 years now and run rehabilitation clinics at the practice, along with home visits, where I’ve treated dogs suffering from osteoarthritis, post surgical referrals, soft tissue injuries, neurological disorders and many more over the years. I am very passionate about all aspects of rehabilitation and believe that every animal should lead a happy and fulfilling life no matter what the concern or the age of the animal.
